A Quick Look at the Neutralization ReactionThe neutralization reaction, also known as the mechanical neutralization reaction or diffusion reaction, is a chemical reaction that occurs between two monovalent compounds. The term 'neutralization' refers to the effect that this reaction has on the molecules involved. It's important to understand how the neutralization reaction happens so that you can use it to develop your own recipes for using it.The simple version of this reaction, which is also called first order kinetics, involves diatomic molecules that are negatively charged. In the neutralization reaction, these diatomic molecules interact with one another and they push back. The interaction is very slight. It may not even be detectable to the naked eye. However, in a double-action reaction, the moving molecules may be seen in their motion as a result of a detector.A second definition of the neutralization reaction is where the reactants are electrically charged while the products are not. An example of this is where an iron-based compound reacts with a water-based compound to form a compound that is enriched in iron but not necessarily in water.The interaction that occurs between the diatomic molecules and their common partners can result in the creation of an inactive-active species. In the neutralization reaction, inactive-active species can be further divided into partial and complete species. Partial species are those that are primarily found in the original compound while complete species are those that have a greater concentration in the reactants.However, both partial and complete species can also be used to create active catalysts. The difference between partial and complete species is that partial species are partially reactant. They are primarily found in the reactants but are able to reduce the percentage of the reactants by acting as an activator.Some examples of the neutralization reaction that occurs within a process of neutralization are the u se of osmotic pressure to lower the concentration of dissolved solids within a solution. This is a reaction that occurs due to surface tension.Another neutralization reaction is the neutralization of aqueous solutions. These are both equilibrium reactions that occur in the presence of a solvent and either a salt or a cation. Both compounds may be included in the reaction; it depends on the concentrations that are present in the solution.The neutralization reaction can be used to create new materials that have properties that do not exist in nature. It can also be used to boost the efficiency of chemical processes. This includes industrial processes, scientific studies, and medicine.

Id call them excuses.For every excuse about why you cant learn a language thats circulating, there are countless language learners who bust right through them and actually learn new languages.The question is how?How do they do it?What makes them different from the people who set out to learn a language and fail? Why do some learners succeed while others dont?Well, one of the biggest differences between the language learners who succeed and the ones who don’t is that the unsuccessful learners believe the myths, but the  successful learners debunk them.They understand that anyone can learn a language, and they ignore the notions that it cant be done.Every time someone thinks of another reason why it isn’t possible, a successful language learner proves them wrong.Imagine how many more languages you would know if you rejected the myths, lies and excuses you believe about learning them.The list of myths is count less, but five of them prevail over all.Let’s explore each myth and debunk them together. Bust a Myth: Debunking 5 Common Myths About Language LearningMyth 1: Im Too Old to LearnWhy not start with the biggest myth of them all? The one almost everyone thinks is true.The myth that every additional candle on your birthday cake makes it that much harder to learn a language.Linguistic research shows that adults are not only capable of learning foreign languages, but they can also be better at language learning than kids.But who needs scientific proof? Just look around.How many immigrants have you met? How many times have you spoken English with someone who has an accent? Keep them in mind as inspiration. Learning English as a second language is just as difficult for someone to do as it is for us to learn their languages.And what did they do? They learned it! Adults. Young people. Old people. All of them. None of them were “too old” to do it.Therefore, you aren’t too old either. Myth 2: New Technology Makes It Pointless to Learn Foreign LanguagesAnother notorious myth is rooted in the modern information age in which we live. Its the notion that “all we need is Google Translate.”Some people think that it became pointless to learn a language when “an app came out for that.” Why work hard to learn a language when your iPhone will just translate it for you?There are many flaws with this myth that discourages aspiring learners from acquiring new languages.First of all, the quality of the translation on an app isn’t always the best. At times, the results are even incomprehensible.Second, translation may be possible with a machine but interpretation is not. By these terms, we mean the written and verbal forms of the language, respectively. Sure, theres a voice that reads the script, but we’re talking about face-to-face, human interaction. Hopefully you dont expect to connect with a client and “speak her language” by typing a sales pitch into your p hone then asking the person to listen to the voiceover.Third, by using a translation device, you miss out on all the fun of learning another language!Myth 3: It Takes Forever to Learn a LanguageThe third myth that needs debunking is the “forever” myth. “Learning a language will take me 20 years,” they say.That is simply not true.Even at a pace of a half an hour per day, you could reach high levels of proficiency after five years of study. And that’s a conservative estimate. However, rather than debate about how long it takes to learn a language, it’s best to address this myth by using an entirely different approach.Let’s consider getting a master’s degree as an example. Someone may want to earn that degree, but they may also be so busy they can only take one class per semester. That’s three classes a year. If the program requires 30 credit hours, then it will take 10 years to get the degree.Sure, that’s a long time, but heres a news flash: Those 10 years are goin g to pass anyway. You can decide to earn the degree in 10 years or you can decide not to. But the time will pass either way.The same is true for learning a language. People often exaggerate how long it takes to learn a language. Nonetheless, what’s the problem with it taking a while?It may take three years. Five years. Ten years. But so what? The time is going to pass anyway.The only question you have to ask yourself is, “after the time is up, do I want to speak a foreign language or not?”Myth 4: It Takes No Time at All to Learn a LanguageThe next myth is the opposite of the previous one. Its the “buy this product and learn a language by tomorrow morning” myth.The idea that someone can legitimately learn a foreign language with a decent amount of fluency in a week or even a month is a farce.There are a few polyglots who do learn languages fast and who offer great tips about how to do it. But “fast” and “seven days” are vastly different.The exact time it takes will differ widely from person to person.Language learners who believe the myth that they can learn a language in two days by following a few secret tips hidden inside of someone’s e-book (tips that no other polyglot has ever discovered, of course) are setting themselves up for failure.Why?Because you won’t actually learn the language before your business appointment at lunchtime tomorrow. You just wont. Then youll get discouraged, and youll start to feel like something is wrong with you.This myth has prevented many learners who would have otherwise been successful from accomplishing their language learning goals.Don’t believe it. Debunk it. Set realistic expectations. And go for it!Myth 5: You Can’t Learn More Than One Language at a TimeAnother myth aspiring polyglots hear and sometimes believe is that someone cant learn two languages at the same time.Thats simply not the case. In fact, there are many benefits to learning multiple languages at the same time.It may be challenging for some people to learn similar languages such as French and Italian at the same time. But theres no set rule about this either. Some polyglots enjoy this approach.Other learners find it easier to learn languages that are vastly different from each other, like Spanish and Arabic, at the same time.Every learner has their own style. But none of these are rules. Saying that a person cant learn more than one language at a time is a myth.It may be easier for you to focus on one language until you become bilingual, then start learning multiple languages one at a time afterward. But again, thats just an idea that works for some people.Don’t limit yourself. Don’t let a myth put you in a box.If you want to learn several languages at the same time, nobody can stop you from doing it!All in all, successful language learners overcome these myths.We ignore the excuses and refuse to believe that we’re too old to learn a language. We recognize that technology doesn’t nullify the need for language acquisition. It doesn’t take us “forever” to learn, but it does take more than a week. Additionally, many of us even learn several languages at a time.The good news is that, by knowing these myths aren’t true, you can break through the barriers and learn your next language now.The bad news is, well, you can’t use these myths as “reasons” why you can’t do it anymore.It’s time to throw the myths aside and learn the language you’ve always wanted to learn!Aaron J. Organic Chemistry Tutor Washer MethodA mentor in my hometown has recently introduced a new organic chemistry tutor washer method to her classes. Although I am not a chemistry major, I love science and the 'method' that my biology tutor is teaching at my high school is much more enjoyable than what I used to do.Here's what I've learned about the 'wet method'. The textbook that my chemistry tutor is using is called Chemistry for Teachers and it is packed with content. The book is filled with material that will help students from kindergarten to college. Unfortunately, the book doesn't cover all of the material that I would need to know if I wanted to be a chemistry teacher.It seems that every few days, my science teacher goes through the textbook and covers a new topic that will help students get more of their class time. Most of the topics are written on a blackboard with a chalk board for other students to write answers on. Every day, students use a computer to fill out a survey and students can exchange 'credits' to gain points toward their grade.My math instructor has also introduced a new subject this year: Organic Chemistry. Organic Chemistry is actually a four-year degree program at a community college. In order to qualify for the degree, you must take an organic chemistry seminar during your first year at the college. During the first semester, you can choose to take a teacher chemistry course or take any other chemistry course.Every semester, students will have to complete a long list of projects that range from simple chemistry homework to lengthy and detailed projects. Some students may think that they will just copy some of their teacher's assignments, but I would advise that you take every assignment that comes your way with an open mind. Don't be afraid to take on a lot of projects or find the one project that is specific to your area of study.Although my chemistry teacher didn't mention it, the teacher chemistry course will come up again in my next year of college. I haven't decided yet if I will continue on with a two-year degree program or go into business. My plan is to have a comfortable career as a math or science teacher.My chemistry teacher has taught me about chemistry in high school and now I am ready to teach a science class. Should you sign up for the experience? Before you submit your application, here are a few questions and answers to help you learn more about summer business school programs. Who are these programs for? Summer business school programs are targeted at college students and recent college graduates. They provide a collaborative environment for project-based learning so that students can increase their understanding of business and explore careers in management. These programs are often held at top universities with elite business schools, such as the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth, the Stern Advantage Program at NYU, and Business Edge at Columbia. The hands-on experience and connections available through these programs assist students who want to stand out to potential employers. Specifically, non-business majors, underrepresented students, and students who have not been exposed to the business world are often encouraged to participate in these programs. For example, the one-week Harvard Business School Summer Venture in Management welcomes applications from students who are the first in their family to attend college, or who come from communities that are underrepresented in business schools and corporate America. Similarly, the two-week Yale SOM Global Pre-MBA Leadership Program emphasizes exposure to global diversity and learning from students around the world, including those from cultural backgrounds underrepresented in graduate management programs. Hey youâ€"guitar playerâ€"you may not know it, but you’re actually an elite member in a group of very special peopleâ€"people who play the guitar. Sure, there are a lot of us out there, but there are still many others of all ages who are mystified by our moves, flummuxed by our finger work and down right impressed with our axes. They look from the outside in, thinking, “Maybe, one day…” but then somehow life, work, and other interests kept  their guitar dreams from coming true. Thus, they think that a fret is to worry about an accidentally unpaid bill, their favorite jam is blueberry, and the fact that you can actually play “Freebird” makes you a rock genius. Here are some other things that only guitar players understand 1. The Value of a Guitar At a flea market or a yard sale, a non-guitar player might see a sweet acoustic dreadnought priced at $200 and think, “Wow, what a steal!” But the truth is, you can get a used or even a brand new guitar online for somewhere in the $50 range. Meanwhile, the same non-guitar player might wonder why that 1960’s Martin Guitar is hanging up at Guitar Center for $10,000. The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter if you’re playing a used classical guitar or a new Taylor. If you love playing guitar, you are happy to have one in your hands, no matter what the value is. 2. How To Pronounce Yngwie Malmsteen (Skip to 8:28 in video) This cat is incredible in his way, and most people who are serious about playing guitar have at least heard of him, and can usually, mostly correctly pronounce his name (depending on who you ask, it’s “Ing-vay” or “Ying-vie” Maahlm-steen). Seeing him live in concert is similar to a religious experience to some guitarists. But if you’re really a pro, you know the truth: he’s a dude who spent a lot of time practicing his scales, and with time and practice, anyone can do what he does, even a 15 year old girl. which leads us to… 3. There Are a  Lot of Dope Female Guitar Players Out There Some people think that guitar is a fella’s game, but there are many straight up incredibly talented female shredders out there. Professional guitarists know their names: Carrie Brownstein, Joni Mitchell, Jennifer Batten, Nancy Wilson, Joan Jett, Orianthi, Lita Ford, PJ Harvey, Bonnie Raitt, Marnie Stern, St. Vincent, Kaki King, more recently Taylor Swift and Tina S, the list literally goes on and on. Anyone who thinks that “guitar isn’t for girls” is just living in the dark ages. 4. Fingernails Grow Like, REALLY Fast Guitarists notice this even more, because fretting with fingernails totally sucks. Serious guitarists are known to carry finger nail clippers in their guitar cases or pockets, or heck, just bite their nails off before a gig in a pinch. And the hard core ones just get manicuresâ€"all the time. Hold the fancy decals or rhinestones in the nail polish though; the steel strings of the guitar will  pull them right off. 5. Picks (for Strumming) Are for Suckers When most people pick up the guitar for the first time, they assume that a pick is a necessary accessory for rocking purposes. But the truth is, a pick distances you, literally, from your guitar. It takes you millimeters away from your strings, making things like finger picking and even just familiarizing yourself with the strings much more difficult. The pick, should you decide to include it in your regular rotation of guitar-tillery, should come later, young grasshopper. 7. Guitar players should really be called guitars players Because NO guitarist in the world has only one guitar. Sure, you start out with one, but one becomes two, becomes 10. Cat ladies don’t got nothin’ on us. At this writing, I believe I am the proud owner of 8 guitars and counting. If you live with a guitarist, be prepared to sacrifice space for that sweet guitar collection. In a pinch, you can always use a hardcase as a coffee table. Rock n’ roll! 8. Not all guitars are gigantic Just like shirts, shoes and hats, there are different sizes of guitars for different sized people. There are 7/8 and ¾ size guitars for those of us with more delicate frames, smaller hands or guitarists who just like to travel light. Fun fact: The ¾ and 7/8 size guitar, such as a baby Martin, fit overhead on a plane and work as a personal item. Checking guitars is for people with too much free time! Speaking of which… 9. Not all Martins cost a fortune The aforementioned baby Martins sell for less than $200 new, and did I mention, they fit overhead on a plane…? 10. People who make and fix guitars are called luthiers And they are pretty much across the board awesome. My local luthier is a Spanish hippy who grows herbs in his windowsill and fixes my guitars for tips. Not to mention, he builds about a guitar a week using reclaimed wood, found garbage instruments and old parts out of various handtools. Can anyone say life skill? Luthier classes are very rare and quite expensive, so if you get a chance to learn from a luthier or take a class at a lesser rate, DO IT!
